On Tuesday evening a large force of the Israeli Army invaded the village of Burin, firing stun grenades, sound bombs and rubber bullets into the village until around 03:30am on Wednesday morning. The Army terrorised villages, swarming the village with soldiers and invading 7 homes. The Army justifies its terrorism of villagers as searching for youth who they allege threw Molotov cocktails at settler cars.
Burin is terrorised by the Army and the illegal settlements of Bracha and Yitzhar, that surround the village, on a daily basis. The illegal settlements are built on stolen Burin, and it’s neighbouring villages, land and in 2013 alone nearly 1500 olive trees, a vital economic source for the village, were destroyed by settlers.
