On Wednesday morning, at approximately 11:00am, the Israeli Army invaded the village of Burin, just south of Nablus, and attacked the Boys High School. The Army attempted to enter the school to arrest students, but were thwarted in their attempts after the brave resistance by students, protecting their right to education without harassment.
The Army has been stepping up its attacks on Burin in recent weeks, with night raids and arrests on a daily basis. In the early hours of Wednesday morning two more young men were kidnapped by the Army.
Burin is surrounded by the illegal settlements of Bracha and Yitzhar. The Army terrorise villagers alleging attacks on the illegal settlements. However, last year Burin lost 1423 olive trees due to criminal settler attacks and 420 almond trees. Acts of terrorism no settler is ever prosecuted for.
In the absence of the application of justice, Burin and it’s residents implore all people of the world to abide by the request of Palestinians for boycott, divestment and sanctions (BDS) against Apartheid Israel.
