On Friday morning activists from SFP attended the funeral of Muatazz Washaha murdered by the Israeli Army the previous day. Muatazz was murdered in his home which was also destroyed by the shelling. In an act of defiance Muatazz stated “I will not surrender to those bastards”. No shots were ever fired towards the Army. Following the funeral the Army attacked attendees in the Beirzeit area.
Muatazz’s murder bring to 45 the number of Palestinians murdered by the Israelis since so called negotiations began, pushed by US Senator John Kerry. Palestinians demanded the end of these negotiations in light of another war crime committed against the Palestinians with Muatazz’s death.
