On Wednesday evening the village of Madama was again terrorised by the Israeli Army. The Army kidnapped 20 year old Akram Issa Nassar after inspecting village cars and closing the whole village for four hours.The Army allege molotov cocktails were thrown at settler cars near the illegal settlement of Yitzhar, to the south of the village on stolen village land.
A few days ago Madama was again subject to Army terrorism with two young men and two children kidnapped overnight before they were released. The villages of Huwwara and Beita have also seen increased Army terrorism, being subject to curfew for several hours on Tuesday/ Wednesday.
The illegal settlements of Yitzhar and Bracha, which surround Madama and its neighbours, house some of the most violent and criminal settlers, responsible for many attacks on Palestinians and their property, including their lifeblood, olive trees.The Israel Central Bureau of Statistics report shows that illegal settlements expansion has more than doubled in the last year with 2,534 new housing units built in 2013, compared to 1,133 in 2012. This is despite alleged ‘peace’ talks taking place between the Palestinian Authority and Apartheid Israel, pushed by the American Government.
SFP has been supporting Madama and its surrounding villages, and kindly asks our international friends to please urge their respective representatives to apply pressure on Apartheid Israel to cease the kidnapping of Palestinians and the release of all political prisoners. And in the absence of action from international Governments we ask all lovers of justice and human rights to abide by the Palestinian request for boycott, divestment and sanctions (BDS) against Apartheid Israel. اقتحمت قوات الاحتلال بعد عصر يوم الاربعاء قرية مادما جنوب نابلس وقامت باعتقال المواطن أكرم عيسى نصار (20 عاما)، ونصبت الحواجز على مداخل القرية، وشرعت بتفتيش السيارات وستمر هذا الاقتحام ما يقارب الاربع ساعات متواصله مع اغلاق كامل للقرية بعد ان ادعت قوات الاحتلال ان هناك بعض الشباب التي تقوم بضرب الملتوف على سيارات المستوطنين حيث قامت قوات الاحتلال وقبل يومين باعتقال عدد من الشبان في القرية وقامت باستجوابهم و الجدير بالذكر ان هناك ما يزيد عن عشرة اسرى من قرية مادما في سجون الاحتلال الاسرائيلي قرية مادما الذي يبلغ عدد سكانها الالفين نسمة تحاط بها مستوطنة يتسهار تتعرض بشكل يومي لهجمات المستوطنين و جيش الاحتلال . حركة التضامن من اجل فلسطين حرة (sfp) تدعم قرية مادما و جميع القرى التي تتعرض لاعتداءات من الاحتلال الاسرائيلي ونرجو من اصدقائنا الدوليين لممارسة الضغط على اسرائيل لوقف الفصل العنصري و لوقف اختطاف الاطفال في غياب اجراءت الحكومات الدولية ونحن نطلب من جميع محبي العدالة وحقوق الإنسان بالتقيد الطلب الفلسطيني للمقاطعة وسحب الاستثمارات وفرض العقوبات (BDS) لمناهضة الفصل العنصري إسرائيل.
