On Saturday 26 April activists from the popular resistance reclaimed the road from Ramallah to Jericho, frequented by illegal settlers and Army, placing Palestinian flags along the road. Activists declared that they would tear down Apartheid, including the infrastructure which punctuates and separates Palestinian cities and lands.
The West Bank area of Palestine is divided and criss crossed by Occupation infrastructure. Palestinians are forced to make large detours to their journeys around hundreds of illegal settlements on their land, as well as being denied access to some roads, which are designated “Jewish only”. Under international law this forms just one part of the definition of Apartheid.
Activists are determined to tear down Apartheid and remove the illegal Occupation and colonization of their land.
