As Palestinian Muslims observe the Holy month of Ramadan the Israeli Army continues to invade cities and terrorise residents. As Nablusi’s prepared Sahur (the meal prior to the commence of a days fasting) the Israeli Army invaded the city, firing stun grenades and sound bombs. Nablusi’s bravely defended their city against the invasion (see video from SFP activist here).
This comes as the Israeli Army found the bodies of the three missing settlers near the Palestinian village of Hahul near Hebron on Monday morning. As the find was announced the Palestinian population braced themselves for the collective punishment to come.
No protected person may be punished for an offense he or she has not personally committed. Collective penalties and likewise all measures of intimidation or of terrorism are prohibited.
Pillage is prohibited.
Reprisals against protected persons and their property are prohibited.
~ Geneva Convention (IV) relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War. Geneva, 12 August 1949. Individual responsibility, collective penalties, pillage, reprisals.
Sure enough as world leaders and associations rush to condemn the killing, which the Apartheid Israeli government attributed to Hamas without providing any evidence, Apartheid Israel’s insatiable blood lust was not fulfilled. 16-year-old Yousef Abu Zagha was shot dead in the chest by the Israeli Army as they invaded the Jenin refugee camp on Monday night. This morning Palestinians awoke to the news that another of their children had been murdered by terrorists. 16-year-old Muhammad Hussein Abu Khdeir from the Shufat neighborhood was kidnapped by Jewish terrorists and murdered, his body found this morning.
Despite the rush by international and Israeli media to follow Apartheid Israel’s line that the 3 settlers were kidnapped by Hamas, no such assertions have been made in the case of Muhammad. Media and Israeli officials used words like ‘alleged kidnapping’, and ‘apparent revenge attack’, despite witnesses to the kidnapping stating it was Jewish terrorists. Again, no terrorist label attached to Jewish Israelis, unlike Palestinians who were widely and immediately labelled ‘terrorists’ and ‘terrorist acts’.
Despite now 10 Palestinians murdered, several of them children, since the operation to locate the missing settlers began, no world condemnation was forthcoming, just requests for restraint from both sides – Palestinians have no Army. Muhammad and Yousef’s families will no doubt be left waiting for the phone calls from world leaders condemning the terrorist acts and cowardly terrorists who murdered their sons. No trip to the UN Human Rights Commission for their mothers.
