23/01/14: Nablus buries their dead, over 10 years later

On Thursday morning residents of Nablus buried Fathi Jihad Amira (Nablus) and Atta Ibrahim Samhan (Tubas), murdered by the Israelis in 2002 and 2004 respectively, and their bodies held hostage until yesterday when they were finally returned to their families. This is a common and illegal punishment by Apartheid Israel that still is holding hostages the bodies of around 330 Palestinians.

19 year old Amira Fathi was murdered 30 March 2002 in Nablus. Atta Samhan of Tubas died during the Israeli shelling of Nassariya in 2004.

Many of them have been buried in common graves which their families members have been unable to access.

Hundreds mourners lined the streets to finally honour their dead and bury the two men in a Nablus cemetery.

 

تم تسليم جثامين الشهداء فتحي جهاد عميره من مدينه نابلس والشهيد عطا ابراهيم سماحنه من النصاريه محافظه طوباس وقد استقبل الاهالي وعدد كبير من سكان محافظه نابلس جثمان الشهدين حيث تم تشييعهما الى المقابر من اجل دفنهما وقد عبر اهالي الشهداء عن سعادتهم بدفن ابyنائهم بما يليق بهم كشهداء بدلا من بقائهم في مقابر الارقام وهذه الحمله تاتي ضمن عمليه تسليم جثامين الشهداء التي نجحت بها الحمله الوطنيه لاسترداد جثامين الشهداء عبر الضغط الشعبي والمؤسسات القانونيه …

 

فتحي عميره استشهد بتاريخ 30-3-2002 وهو من مواليد نابلس 1983 ,,اما الشهيد عطا سماحنه فهو من النصاريه محافظه طوباس استشهد اثناء القصف الاسرائيلي لبلدة النصاريه عام 2004
