10/05/15: SFP donates olive trees and thyme to the women of Biddiya in support of feminist cooperatives

Thanks to continuing kind donations from around the World and from SFP members we have been able to puchase more olive trees and thyme for the Women’s cooperative in Biddiya, Salfit governorate.

This is part of a campaign by SFP to support Palestinian feminist agricultural cooperatives, supporting Palestinian women to be economically independent and acknowledging the leading role Palestinian women play in the resistance and liberation of Palestinian land.

SFP has already supported women’s groups in the Jordan Valley, Salfit and villages around Nablus city. We are determined to support more groups and would be very grateful for any further donations and for you to share our campaign widely.

Palestinian women are at the forefront of the resistance and SFP reaffirms their support for these female leaders as they cultivate the land and reclaim it from the Occupation and Zionist settlers.

قامت حركة تضامن من حل فلسطين حره SFP بتوزيع آلاف الاشتال من الزعتر وأشجار الزيتون على النساء في بلدة بديا –قضاء سلفيت .

حيث توجه النشطاء إلى بلدة بديا – سلفيت. وقاموا بزيارة الى مركز نساء ضد الجدار وتم الاتفاق معهن على تشكيل تعاونيات نسويه ودعمهن بالزعتر والزيتون   وقد تم توزيع الاشتال على مجموعة من النساء .اللواتي قمن بزراعتها في الأرض .

يأتي هذا التوجه ضمن خطه تقوم بها حركةSFP مع المؤسسات الفلسطينية لبناء تعاونيات نسويه و دعم النساء الفلسطينيات وتعزيز صمودهن على الأرض في المواقع الريفية وقد تم توزيع العديد من الاشتال في العديد من المناطق في الأغوار ونابلس ورام الله وسلفيت .

النساء الفلسطينيات عبروا عن شكرهن لكل من تبرع وطالبوا بالاستمرار بدعم النساء الفلسطينيات , خاصة أن هناك الكثير من النساء ابدوا استعدادهن للتوجه للأرض من اجل زراعتها .

يذكر ان زراعه الزعتر مشروع مربح ويساهم في تخفيف العبء الاقتصادي على العائلات الفلسطينية ويساهم في حماية الأرض الفلسطينية من المصادرة   من قبل الاحتلال الإسرائيلي .

31/03/15: SFP, JVS and the Women’s Union reaffirm their steadfastness on the land in Fasayil

On 31 March 2015 SFP activists joined Jordan Valley Solidarity campaign, the Union of Palestinian Women’s Committees, the Tanweer Centre and villagers to plant olive, citrus and thyme in Fasayil in the Jordan Valley. The action came as part of SFP’s action to commemorate Land Day, reaffirming the right and steadfastness on the land. Activists were accompanied by international activists from the Internation Women’s Peace Service (IWPS).

Fasayil is located in the Jordan Valley, an area designated Area C under the Oslo Accords. This means Apartheid Israel has full civil and military control over the lives of the Palestinian villagers. They are unable to access their water, farm their land, or live without constant harrassment and risk of home demolitions. Activists planted in an area of the village under imminent threat of demolition to assert their right to their land.

Following planting the activists then helped the villages move homemade mud bricks used for building. Building materials, such as concrete, is prohibited by Apartheid Israel, forcing the villagers to improvise, making their own mud bricks for construction, in defiance of the Occupation.

SFP’s sister organisation, JVS, works tirelessly in the Jordan Valley helping Palestinians remain steadfast on the land. SFP reaffirmed their commitment today to further supporting the communities in the Jordan Valley area with more crops and support.

إحياء يوم الأرض في الأغوار

نشطاء المقاومه الشعبيه من حركة تضامن من اجل فلسطين SFP بالتعاون مع المؤسسات الفلسطينيه (المجلس الشعبي لحماية الأغوار واتحاد لجان المراة  الفلسطينية والمنتدى التنويري Tanweerومتضامنين من iwps)
توجه النشطاء الى أراض مهددة بالمصادرة في منطقة فصايل  بالاغوار  وقاموا بزراعتها باشجار الليمون وأشجار الزيتون وقالوا أنهم في ذكرى يوم الأرض  ان يوم الارض سيبقى خالدا في ضمير كل فلسطيني ولن ننسى الشعب الفلسطيني  وسيبقى شاهدا على عنصرية الاحتلال الاسرائيلي  .
وبعد الانتهاء من زراعة الزيتون واشجار الليمون  قام النشطاء بنقل الطوب من اجل بناء احدى غرف المدارس  وهذا الطوب هو عباره عن الطين (تراب +القش ) حيث لا يسمح الاحتلال ببناء الغرف بمواد اسمنتيه .
وقد شكر النشطاء كل من شارك في دعم حملات الزراعه اشتال زعتر وزيتون وحمضيات وقال نشطاء المقاومه الشعبيه من sfpا نهم سوف يستمرون بزراعة الزيتون والزعتر وكافة الاشتال  في كافة المناطق المهددة بالمصادرة  في كافة المناطق الفلسطينية

09/03/15: Settlers maraud across the northern West Bank, destroying olive trees and attacking farmers

On Monday 9 March Jewish settlers attacked Palestinian land in the northern West Bank area of Palestine. Settlers cut ancient olive trees belonging to the villages of Burin and Salem, near Nablus city.

In Salem, Jewish settlers from the illegal colony known as Elon Moreh bulldozed Palestinian land and cut 300 olive trees belonging to the Palestinian village of Salem. This act of terrorism was partnered with a confiscation order given to Salem villagers by the occupying Israeli Army. The order stated farmers were prohibited from cultivating their land, a vital activity for farmers to ensure a good crop of olives in the harvest. This is a standard tactic used by the Army to facilitate the illegal expansion of the colonies.

In Burin 75 ancient olive trees belonging to Ahmed Abdel Fatah, were cut by marauding Jewish settlers from the notoriously violent colony of Bracha, built on stolen village land.

Farmers, with DCO coordination, had gone to their land near the illegal colony only to be attacked by settlers, as Israeli soldiers looked on, refusing to intervene to stop attacks. It was during this assault that the farmers realised the terrorist settlers had also cut their trees.

SFP has and continues to support the villages of Salem and Burin, regularly supporting farmers to attend to their land whenever they wish. SFP also has purchased and planted new olive tree saplings in both villages to reinforce farmers, villagers and Palestinians steadfastness on their land. Just 2 months previously, on land today attacked by settlers, SFP planted olive trees with villagers from Salem.

اليوم الاثنين  9-3  قريه بورين  –  نابلس
توجه صباح  اليوم  مزارعون  من قرية بورين  إلى أراضيهم م اجل حراثتها إلا أنهم فوجئوا بالمستوطنين  من مستوطنه “ابراخا” ألمقامه على أراضي بورين ,قاموا بالاعتداء عليهم ومنعوهم من حراثة أراضيهم  مع العلم أن المزارعين ذهبوا الى الأرض بتنسيق من DCO  ومع ذلك فان المستوطنين استمروا بالاعتداء على المزارعين أمام  جنود الاحتلال الإسرائيلي  وقاموا بتقطيع حوالي 75 شجرة زيتون تعود للمزارع

قامت جرافات الاحتلال الإسرائيلي بحمايه العشرات من الآليات العسكرية الاسرائيليه ومستوطنين مستوطنة “الون موريه” بتجريف اراضي قرية سالم -منطقة الكبير- شرق القرية -واقتلاع حوالي 300 شجرة زيتون وذلك بهدف مصادره الأراضي وتوسيع مستوطنه “الون موريه ” حيث قام جنود الاحتلال الإسرائيلي بتسليم أصحاب الأراضي إخطارات تمنع المزارعين من زراعة الأراضي .

علما بان نشطاء المقاومه الشعبيه من حركه تضامن sfp قد قاموا منذ شهرين تقريبا بنظيف الأراضي وزراعتها

07/02/15: SFP plant olive trees to honour the martyr of Burin

On Saturday 7 February activists from SFP brought olive trees to the village of Burin to plant them in honour of the martyr Ahmed Al-Najjar, murdered a week before by the Israeli Army.

As activists marched towards the land to plant the symbolic trees the Israeli soldiers attempted to prevent them crossing Road 60, claiming only settlers could pass. SFP and the villagers remained steadfast and planted the trees in defiance of the soldiers attempted threats and intimidation.

SFP will continue to support the village of Burin in the face of fatal attacks from the illegal Occupation. SFP is also appealing to international supporters to sign and share our campaign calling for the release of SFP member Ghassan Najjar, interned by the Occupation without charge for almost 6 months. تعبيرا عن الوفاء للشهداء ورفضا لسياسة الاحتلال الإسرائيلي وممارساته ألعنصريه ضد الشعب الفلسطيني من قتل وأعتقال للأطفال والاستيطان والحواجز فقد نظمت “حركة تضامن من اجل فلسطين حره SFP “نشاط تضمن زراعه زيتون في بورين –جسر مادما –المكان الذي اطلق فيه الجنود الاسرائيلييون على الشهيد احمد النجار, الذي استشهد يوم السبت الماضي 13-1-2015.
وقد قام النشطاء برسم لوحه تعبيريه للشهيد وزراعه اشتال زيتون ووضعوه عليها صورا له ولملاك الخطيب اصغر طفله أسيره في السجون الاسرائيليه -14 سنه
وقد حاول الجنود الإسرائيليون منع النشطاء الا أنهم استمروا وتوجهوا إلى شارع 60 هذا الشارع الذي يتم إغلاقه احيانا امام الفلسطينيون ,ويسمح فقط للمستوطنين من استخدامه .
نشطاء المقاومه الشعبيه sfp سوف يستمروا في زراعة الزيتون في كافة الأماكن المهددة بالمصادرة ومساعدة الفلاحين للوصول الى ارضهم .

This Christmas SFP is appealing for donations to fund our “Reclaiming the Land” campaign. The campaign seeks to support villages and farmers to reclaim their land under threat from illegal settlers and the Israeli Occupation by planting the land with olive trees and zatara (the Palestinian herb made famous for being the main ingredient of the delicious Palestinian tea).

12/12/14: SFP and Qaryot attacked by the Israeli Army as they plant olive trees in memory of Zaid Abu Ein

On Friday 12 December activists from SFP joined the village of Qaryot to plant olive trees along a road closed to them by the Israeli Army since 2002. The trees were planted in the name of Zaid Abu Ein, the Palestinian Authority Minister murdered by Israeli soldiers at a protest earlier in the week. The activists were attacked by Israeli Army soldiers as they attempted to plant the trees, with several being hospitalised due to tear gas inhalation and being hit with rubber coated steel bullets and the gas canisters fired direct at their bodies.

Qaryot, to the south of Nablus city, is surrounded by illegal Jewish-only colonies. The violent Jewish settlers have been attempting to steal more land and link the illegal colonies. The olive tree planting action, arranged by SFP and the village, attempts to prevent them stealing more Palestinian land and affirm the villages right to access to their village, cut off by the various illegal colonies and closed military zones.

SFP is continuing to support villages across the West Bank area of Palestine plant their land with olive trees and Zatara (a Palestinian herb) to reclaim their stolen land from the Occupation. شارك نشطاء المقاومه الشعبيه من حركة تضامن من اجل فلسطين حره sfp مع اهالي قريوت مسيرتهم من اجل فتح الشارع الرئيسي الذي تم اغلاقه عام 2002 والذي يصلهم بمحافظه رام الله وللتعبير عن رفضهم المخطط الاسرائيلي الاستيطاني والذي يهدف الى مصادره الاف الدونمات من اراضي قريوت من اجل ربط المستوطنات بعضها ببعض وعزل القري الفلسطينيه عن باقي القرى.كما حمل المشاركون صور الشهيد زياد ابو عين Zeyad Abo Eain وقاموا بزراعه اشتال زيتون تحمل اسم الشهيد تخليدا له ولتاريخه النضالي وتاكيدا على الاستمرار في المقاومه الشعبيه ومن اجل طرد الاحتلال والاستيطان .

جنود الاحتلال الاسرائيلي واجهوا وقمعوا المسيره بقوه وقاموا باطلاق الغاز المسيل للدموع والاعيره المطاطيه والرصاص الحي مما ادى الى اصابه العشرات من النشطاء والمشاركين في المسيره .

05/12/14: Settlers attack and cut olive trees in Aqraba

On Friday 5 December settlers attacked the olive groves belonging to Aqraba village, cutting dozens of ancient trees and releasing cows onto the land. Aqraba has been under constant attack from the Israeli Army and the surrounding Jewish-only illegal colonies in recent months. The Army has demolished several Palestinian homes, most recently cutting the electricity in the eastern part of the village which borders the Jordan Valley.

Aqraba is located just south of Nablus city and surrounded by illegal colonies, which houses some of the most violent Jewish terrorists. Despite constant attacks on Palestinians and their property complaints are largely ignored by the occupying Israeli Army and rarely are settlers prosecuted for their crimes.

SFP coordinator in Aqraba and Khirbet Yanon (a small village completely surrounded by the illegal colony of Itamar) Yousef Derya stated:

We are always subject to attacks by the settlers and the Army as they attempt to push us from our land. But every time they attack we replant more saplings, renewing our steadfastness that we will not leave our land.

SFP recently planted more trees near Aqraba and will continue to support the villagers in their resistance. SFP is supporting villages across the northern West Bank area of Palestine to reclaim their land, particularly land settlers have or are trying to steal. لا زالت اعتداءات المستوطنين مستمره على الأهالي وعلى أراضيهمالزراعيه حيث قام المستوطنين باقتلاع عشرات أشتال الزيتون  وقاموابإطلاق الأبقارcow لتدمير اشجار الزيتون  وقال الناشط في حركهتضامنsfp  منسق قريوت” يوسف ديريه “ان عقربا بشكل عام ومناطق “خربة الطويل ويانون“ تتعرض دائما لاعتداءاتالمستوطنين والجيش الإسرائيلي من اجل ترحيلنا عن أرضنا ولكنفي كل مره نقوم بزارعه اشتال جديده لان صامدون على ارضنا ولن نرحل.

05/12/14: SFP joins Salem village to reclaim their land

On Friday 5 December activists from SFP joined villagers from Salem, just east of Nablus city, to reclaim their land boxed in between two illegal Jewish-only colonies. Bringing farming equipment to plough and prepare the land the villagers were confronted by the Israeli Army, which claimed they did not have permission to work their own land. The Army forced the villagers from the land by promising them access at a later, unspecified date.

Salem village, along with it’s neighbouring Palestinian villages, is boxed in between the illegal colonies of Elon Moreh to the north and Itamar to the south. The village is also separated from their ancestral lands by a settler-only road, monitored by an Israeli Army watchtower that prevents farmers from crossing the road and accessing their lands and olive trees on the other side. The Jewish settlers have been attempting to steal more and more land with the aim of forcing out the native Palestinian population and connecting the two illegal colonies.

In an act of defiance and resistance the villagers crossed the illegal settler road and attempted to start ploughing their lands to the north. The Israeli Army immediately prevented the villagers from continuing and forced them from the land claiming it was a military restricted area. Despite this the villagers still performed the noon prayers on their land in a sign of their determination to remain steadfast in the face of the Occupation and colonialists.

SFP is supporting villages across the northern West Bank area of Palestine to reclaim their land, particularly land settlers have or are trying to steal. نشطاء المقاومه الشعبيه يشاركون الاهالي الوصول الى اراضيهم والعمل فيها

اليوم الجمعه -5-12 توجه نشطاء المقاومه الشعبيه من حركة تضامن من اجل فلسطين حره sfp الى قرية سالم – شرق نابلس للمشاركه في حراثة وزراعه الارض الممنوع الوصول اليها من قبل الاحتلال الاسرائيلي , وقد ذكر بعض الاهالي انهم كانوا ممنوعين من الوصول الى ارضهم منذ سنوات بحجه انها منطقه عسكريه او انه لا يوجد تنسيق او تصريح للوصول الى الارض .

بعد الوصول الى هناك تمكن الاهالي مع النشطاء من تنظيف الارض وحراثتها والصلاه هناك تاكيدا منهم على ان الارض تابعه لهم ويملكونها هم , وقد حضر الجنود الاسرائيليين الى المنطقه وطالبوا الاهالي مغادره المنطقه ووقف اعمال الحراثه فيها الا ان الاهالي استمروا بالعمل على ارضهم .

يذكر ان المستوطنون يحاولون بطريقه او اخرى السيطره على الارض من اجل ربط المستوطنات المقامه على الجبال بعضها البعض

15/11/14: SFP reclaim land in Khirbet Hamam

On Saturday 15 November SFP planted tree samplings in Khirbet Hamam, north of Tulkarem. The village is surrounded by illegal Jewish-only colonies, built on villagers land.

The village is the site of ancient ruins and of great historical importance to Palestine. The villagers are regularly harassed by the illegal settlers, who are seeking to steal more land and force villagers from their ancestral lands. The settlers regularly attack villagers as they attend to their animals and throw stones and curse at them.

SFP stands firm with the villagers of Khirbet Hamam and supports them in remaining on their land and reclaiming stolen land back from the Jewish terrorists. SFP has launched a campaign to request donations to buy more olive trees and herbs to plant the land and reclaim it from the settlers. حركة تضامن من اجل فلسطين حرة sfp تشارك المؤسسات نشاطهم التطوعي لدعم صمود المزراعين

السبت -15-11-2014- شارك نشطاء المقاومه الشعبيه من حركة تضامن sfp مع مؤسسات الشراكه من اجل التنميه نشاط تطوعي في خربه الحمام والتي تقع أقصى شمال محافظة طولكرم، وتبعد عن قرية النزلة الشرقية مسافة 4 كيلومتر، تحدها من الجنوب بلدة كفر راعي التابعة لمحافظة جنين، ومن الشمال الشرقي بلدة يعبد ايضاً من جنين، وقد استولى الاحتلال الاسرائيلي على أراضيها ليقيم من الشمال الغربي “مستوطنة حرميش”، ومن الشرق” مستوطنة دوتان”.

فيها منطقة رومانية قديمة تسمى ” خربة الحمام ” وهي مبنى قديم جداً لم يتبق منه سوى حجارته المنتشرة.

عدد منازل الخربة ثمانية، وعدد سكانها 70 نسمة، وهم يتبعون لعائلة واحدة وهي ” الجالولي ” بقي على وجودهم فيها قرابة إل 50 عاماً، هم لاجئون من قيساريا داخل الــ 48.

وقد تحدث الأهالي عن معاناتهم في الخربة وقالوا نحن لا ننام الليل، خوفاً على أولادنا ومواشينا وبيوتنا من اعتداءات المستوطنين ، موضحين انه سبق وان قام المستوطنون بوضع السم للمواشي ونفوق أعداد منها، عدا عن هدمهم لبعض البركسات التي توضع فيها المواشي، ورمي الحجارة على منازلنا .

وأوضحوا انه بين الحين والآخر يحضر المستوطنون على شكل مجموعات، ويؤدون طقوساً دينية بين منازل الخربة، وبشكل يستفز الأهالي، عدا عن رمي الحجارة على السكان وشتمهم

هذا وقد شمل العمل التطوعي زراعة اشتال متنوعة وتنظيف المكان ورسم على الجدران ونشاطات ترفيهية للأطفال .

SFP launches olive tree and thyme appeal

Today SFP is launching an appeal for donations to fund the purchase of olive trees and thyme to reclaim stolen Palestinian land. The appeal forms part of SFP’s philosophy to support our fellow Palestinians not only to remain steadfast on their land but also to take back the land from the Occupiers.

Year on year the Occupation has stolen more and more Palestinian land. SFP and our volunteers say no more. We are taking proactive, non-violent action to reclaim the land and help build a free Palestinian State.

We kindly ask people locally and around the world to help us in this endeavour by donating whatever you can enabling us to purchase olive trees and thyme. The trees and herbs are planted with farmers with the support of SFP volunteers and help create a sustainable income for the local community as well supporting resistance to the illegal Occupation.

Olive trees are a symbol of Palestine and the Palestinian struggle. They support life across the land and the Israeli Occupation is systematically trying to destroy that history and legacy.

This year SFP is also expanding our annual appeal to include the purchase of thyme. Thyme is also integral to Palestine and particularly Palestinian women who grow the herb, providing the main ingredient to the delicious Palestinian tea served across the Middle East.

SfP حركة تضامن من اجل فلسطين حره تطلق ندائها من اجل حملة ” صامدون كشجر الزعتر والزيتون”

اليوم حركة تضامن sfp تطلق ندائها لكافة الاصدقاء من اجل تمويل شراء اشتال الزعتر والزيتون وذلك لاستصلاح الاراضي التي تعرضت للاعتداء من قبل المستوطنين والتي تتعرض للمصادرة من قبل الاحتلال الاسرائيلي .

هذا النداء يأتي ضمن رؤيه وفلسفه حركة تضامن في دعم صمود الفلسطينين وحثهم ومساعدتهم على استعاده الأرض الفلسطينية .

إن الاحتلال الإسرائيلي مستمر في مصادرة الأراضي وبناء المستوطنات , وهنا نقول كفى ,لا للمصادره لا للاعتداء وسنعمل من خلال المقاومة الشعبية اللاعنفيه لاستعادة الأرض وبناء دولتنا الفلسطينية .

إن هذا النداء لأصدقائنا المحليين والدوليين في كل مكان في العالم للتبرع من اجل مساعدتنا في شراء اشتال الزيتون والزعتر ,والذي سوف نقوم بزراعته واستصلاح الاراضي بجهود المتطوعين من نشطاء المقاومه الشعبيه في حركة تضامن sfp وبالتعاون مع المزارعين الفلسطينيين .

أشجار الزيتون هي رمز لفلسطين والنضال الفلسطيني لأنها تمثل الحياه والتاريخ والتراث والأرض والاحتلال الإسرائيلي يسعى وبشكل منهجي ودائم لتدمير هذا التاريخ والتراث .

SfP حركة تضامن شملت هذا العام اشتال الزعتر كعامل مساند للزيتون خاصة ان انتاج الزيتون غير ثابتا ويختلف من سنه لأخرى كما ان الزعتر والزيت (وجبه شعبيه فلسطينيه ) والزعتر له مذاق جيد مع الشاي وهو يباع بشكل كبير في العالم .كما ان الزعتر يمكن ان يساهم في مشاركه المراة الفلسطيتيه في الانتاج من خلال قطف الزعتر وتجفيفه وتسويقه مع العلم ان الزعتر يقطف ثلاث الى اربع مرات سنويا .
