10/01/15: Israeli settlers and soldier shoot children from Burin, Nablus

On Saturday 10 January, as children across the West Bank of Palestine were playing in the snow, Israeli settlers from the illegal colony of Bracha accompanied by soldiers, shot at the children of Burin village, just south of Nablus city.

18 year old Jamal Abbas Asous and 15 year old Mohammed Yasser Al-Najjar were shot with live ammunition fired at them by the settlers and soldiers as they played in the snow. They are currently being treated in Rafidia hospital in Nablus where SFP members visited them.

Burin is subjected to daily attacks from the settlers and soldiers that surround the village. Last year saw a campaign of arrests of young men and children from the village, including SFP members and Steering Committee member Ghassan Najjar. Ghassan is still in prison having been held for 6 months already with no charges brought against him. A Court appearance scheduled for 8 January was delayed due to the bad weather conditions. This is particularly felt by prisoners who are often held by the Israeli Prison Authorities in tents outside, having to endure the freezing temperatures.

مع هطول الثلج على فلسطين بدأ الاطفال بالتوجه كي يلعبوا بالثلوج كما هو الحال في كافة المدن والقرى الفلسطينيه وفي بورين توجه الاطفال الى الجبال من اجل ان يلعبوا بالثلوج مثل باقي الاطفال الا ان جنود الاحتلال الاسرائيلي والمستوطنين من مستوطنه براخاه قاموا باطلاق الرصاص الحي على الاطفال واصابوا الطفلين عباس جمال عسعوس -18 سنه ,والطفل محمد ياسر النجار 15 سنه في قدميهما ,وتم نقلهم الى مشفى رفيديا – نابلس

نشطاء المقاومه الشعبيه من حركة تضامن sfp قاموا بزياره المصابين واطمئنوا عليهم مع العلم ان الاحتلال الاسرائيلي اعتقل العديد من نشطاء الsfp في بورين ,وان بورين تتعرض شبه يومي لاعتداءات المستوطنين واغلاقات من قبل جيش الاحتلال الأسرائيلي .

12/08/14: Burin attacked….. again

The village of Burin, south of Nablus city, was attacked for the second time in a week by settlers from the illegal colony of Bracha. Three young men were wounded as a result of rubber-coated steel bullets fired at them by the Israeli Army, who regularly support the attacks of the settlers.

The villages around Nablus are surrounded by dozens of illegal colonies, built on stolen Palestinian land. They are home to some of the most violent and fanatical Jewish terrorists. SFP is steadfast in its opposition to these colonies and will continue to work until they are all removed from Palestinian land and Palestinians from the river to the sea can live in safety and security on their land.

09/08/14: Shooting on Shabbat

As Jews around the world observed the Jewish day of rest (Saturday), known as Shabbat, settlers from the illegal colony of Bracha attacked the village of Burin, just south of Nablus. The youth of the village bravely defended against the attack before the Israeli Army arrived and fired volleys of tear gas and rubber-coated steel bullets towards the defending Palestinian villagers.

Burin is regularly attacked by the Jewish terrorist settlers from the surrounding illegal colonies of Bracha and Yitzhar. These two colonies, and several others around Nablus, are home to some of the most extreme Jewish settlers, many of whom are part of and encourage the “Price Tag” policy. This is the name for terrorist attacks against Palestinians and their property by settlers whenever they perceive either the Israeli Government or Palestinians attempt to curb their illegal activities.

In 2008 Burin’s neighbouring village of Asira al Qibliya was attacked by a marauding group of settlers from the Yitzhar colony. They opened fire on residents of the village and rampaged through the Palestinian village. Several villagers were injured. The attack, caught on film, showed Israeli soldiers stood with the settlers as they attacked and when the settlers ran out of bullets soldiers passing their guns over to them.

Following a culmination of regular attacks, mainly on the Jewish holiday of Shabbat (Saturday’s) Palestinians enlisted the help of international groups to provide a permanent deterrent presence in the villages on Saturday’s.

This comes at the same time as Israel renewed its bloody attacks on the Palestinians besieged in the Gaza Strip. After a brief respite, where Palestinians were able to pull bodies from the rubble that was once their homes, 3 Palestinians were murdered by Israel in renewed strikes. The Palestinian Ministry of Health puts the total killed in the latest Israeli massacre of Palestinians at 1,914, with over 10,000 injured.

SFP is determined to continue its resistance to the illegal occupation of Palestine. We thank all those that have taken to the streets around the world in recent weeks, and particularly those that have taken the brave step of taking direct action against the enablers and profiteers of the Occupation. We ask that you all do not turn away should Palestine no longer be headline news. We stand firmly with our brothers and sisters in Gaza but also maintain that the massacres will not end until Palestine is free and all the refugees are able to return home. Therefore, we ask you to remain on the streets and taking action until we achieve that end. The Disasters Emergency Committee has also launched an appeal for funds to help those trapped in Gaza. SFP would be very grateful for anything you may be able to donate.

30/07/14: Palestine under attack: report from Burin

 
For the third day running illegal settlers and the Israeli Army attacked the village of Burin. The settlers, from the Jewish-only colony of Bracha, attacked the village at around 19:00. The Army then arrived on the scene and fired a barrage of tear gas, rubber coated steel bullets and stun grenades at the youth of Burin as they tried to defend the village against the attack.

This sustained attack on the villages of the West Bank area of Palestine comes at the same time as Apartheid Israel continues to bomb the east, Gaza. Today 19 Palestinians were murdered as the Israeli Army bombed a UNWRA school where they had taken refuge from the attacks. This brings the total so far of those mudered since the latest attack began to over 1280, including over 240 children.

SFP asks all those that have taken to the streets to remain on the streets and step up their efforts to demand a free Palestine! and a return of the refugees. We also ask that you join the many who are now taking direct action against the enablers and supporters of the Occupation (businesses and Governments). 28/07/14: Burin attacked by Army and settlers on the first day of Eid

On the first day of Eid, and when the children were trying to draw a smile on their face despite their pain and suffering, dozens of illegal settlers from the Bracha colony attacked the village of Burin, just south of Nablus. The young people of the village bravely defended against the attack despite the arrival of the Israeli Army to support the attacking settlers by firing volleys of tear gas, stun grenades and live ammunition. The attack went on for 2 hours.

As Burin was under attack the Israeli Army also fired rockets as a group of children playing during a rare respite in Gaza. The attack murdered 9 of the children and 1 adult. Their only crime to want to be children for a few moments.

SFP appeals to people all over the world to join the struggle for freedom. We also ask that those around the world that have already taken to the streets in solidarity remain in the streets until Palestine is free and the refugees have returned to their homes. Finally, we ask that our Muslim brothers and sisters to consider limiting their Eid celebrations in respect for those killed and under illegal siege and occupation.

11/07/14: Palestine under attack, from the east to the west

At approximately 20:00 on Thursday evening, as Palestinians broke their days fasting in the meal known as Iftar, terrorist Jewish settlers set fire to Palestinian olive groves in Iraq Burin. Dozens of dunums of land was set ablaze by the terrorist, destroying the ancient trees, the main income source for most villagers.

At the time of writing the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza in estimating 99 people have been murdered in Gaza since Apartheid Israel’s terror strikes began. The names of those who have been murdered, women, children and the elderly are listed in this article. From the East to the West to it’s capital city, Al Quds, Palestine is under attack and siege. While the Israeli Army fighter jets pound Gazan homes in the East, Israel’s terrorist colonies attack Palestinian lands in the West.

SFP implores those all around the world that have not already done so to join the struggle for freedom for Palestine. From tweeting the truth to encouraging your friends and colleagues to boycott Apartheid Israel, everything helps and matters. Now is the time for the people to unite and no longer demand but act to end the Occupation and join the struggle to free Palestine.

04/07/14: Anti-Palestinian pogroms increase

On Friday 4 July Palestinians in the capital of Palestine, Al Quds (Jerusalem) buried 16 year old Muhammad Abu Khdeir. Muhammad was abducted by Jewish terrorists and, as the autopsy report released on Saturday morning, he was burned alive. The pogroms against Palestinians has seen a significant increase as the Apartheid Israeli Government incites violence and allows these terrorist to attack and murder with impunity.

In the early hours of Friday morning illegal settlers drove through the village of Burin and fired live ammunition at Palestinian homes. Fortunately no Palestinians were injured and the damage to property was minimal. Youth from the village bravely attempted to chase the terrorists but they got away.

At around midnight on the same day illegal settlers drove into the village of Osarin, just south of Nablus, and abducted 22 year old Tariq Ziad Zuhdi Adeli as he was walking in the village. He was severely beaten and his leg was fractured with what doctors suspect were sharp metal objects. The bones protruded out through the skin. SFP visited Tariq on Saturday in Rafidia hospital in Nablus. He stated was abducted by two settlers but Aqraba, a nearby village, reported seeing four. It is likely the other two were lying in wait. Fortunately Tariq was still conscious enough to make a phone call to his brother who came in search of him. SFP spoke to doctors and due to the fact that his wound is open they are unable to set the bone at present. He will undergo an operation in a couple of days to reset the bone. Tariq was visible in a lot of pain when activists visited him.

At the same time Tariq was being abducted in Osarin, illegal settlers attempted to abduct a 13 year old child from Deir Al-Hateb, east of Nablus. Majed Odeh was attacked by terrorists from the illegal settlement of Elon Moreh, located to the north on stolen Palestinian land. Fortunately the attempt was thwarted by SFP members and activists from the nearby villages of Salem and Azmut. The Palestinian Red Crescent Society and the three villages are meeting to discuss the increase in pogroms and form emergency neighbourhood watch schemes to ensure residents are protected from attacks.

These three incidents are just a snapshot of what is going on in Palestine at the moment, since 3 settlers went missing in the West Bank area of Palestine and were later found dead. Immediately attacks and pogroms increased against native Palestinians despite no evidence being produced of their involvement and denials from Hamas, who the Apartheid Israeli Government blame. To date 10 Palestinians have been murdered, five of which are children and nearly 600 have been kidnapped by the Army. Jewish terrorists are determined it appears to continue their blood lust against the native Palestinian population. There have been reports across Palestine, including the capital, of further attempted to kidnap children.

SFP asks all those around the world to now make a stand in solidarity, at this crucial time, for Palestine. Please put pressure on your Governments and respective representatives to demand an end of the illegal Occupation and the return of the refugees. Now is the time to act.

حاول مساء أمس الجمعه الموافق 4/7/2014 مجموعة من قطعان المستوطنين من مستوطنة ألون موري المقامه على اراضي قرى سالم دير الحطب عزموط شرق مدينة نابلس في الضفة الغربية إختطاف الطفل أحمد ماجد عوده من قرية دير الحطب البالغ من العمر 13 عاما حيث تصدى أهالي القرية ولجان الحراسة التابعة للجان المقاومة الشعبية لهذه الهجمة ،،حيث أقام أهالي القرى الثلاث مع لجان المقاومة الشعبية في المحافظة إجتماع طارئ مساء أمس وقاموا على تشكيل لجان لحراسة وحماية القرى ومصالحها وأهاليها من هجمات محتمله من قبل المستوطنين ،،حيث باشرت هذه اللجان نوبات الحراسه منذ مساء يوم الأربعاء الموافق 4/7/2014

02/07/14: When do “acts of revenge” become systematic terrorism?: Aqraba suffers more Zionist terrorism

On Wednesday morning,mat approximately 03:30am, illegal settlers from the terrorist group calling themselves ‘Price Tag’ attacked the village of Aqraba, just south of Nablus. Illegal settlers set fire to bales of straw, barley and bran crops belonging to Fadi Bani Jaber, and painted racist slogan on the walls of the barn. Thankfully Fadi was able to rescue the sheep from the burning buildings. The losses are estimated at thousands of dollars.

The Jewish terrorist group known as Price Tag are well known for their attacks on Palestinian property and people. They were even granted the rare honour for any Israeli terrorism, usually left unnoticed by the international community, by being mentioned in the USA State Departments monthly terrorism watch report, much to Israel’s protestations. As we have seen over the past few weeks Apartheid Israel’s crimes are deemed ‘alleged’ and ‘one off’ while any possible act by a Palestinian is ‘fact’ and ‘terrorism’.

Since the alleged kidnapping and discovery of the bodies of three settlers in the occupied West Bank area of Palestine, Palestinians have suffered an increase in the collective punishment and terrorism meted out by Apartheid Israel and it’s illegal, terrorist colonists. While world leaders and organisations condemned the deaths of the three settlers, the 10 Palestinians murdered since 12 June went unmentioned.

16 year old Muhammad Hussein Abu Khdeir from the Shufat neighborhood of occupied East Jerusalem was kidnapped and murdered last night, in what is being described as a ‘revenge attack’. No terrorism label for this murder. Or for 15 year old Mohammad Dudeen, 17 year old Sakher Dorgham Zaamel Abu al-Hasan or 16 year old Yousef Abu Zagha. All murdered by Apartheid Israel since 12 June.

As villages and cities across Palestine brace themselves for more ‘revenge attacks’, Aqraba village is calling for the formation of local protection committees and demanding international protection from Israeli terrorism. SFP supports and will work toward this aim with Aqraba and across Palestine.

29/05/14: Settler terrorists attack Burin

On Thursday 29 May Jewish terrorists from the illegal settlement of Bracha attacked the village of Burin injuring Abu Morsi, a elderly member of the village council. Abu Morsi required hospital treatment for injuries including suffocation from tear gas inhalation.

As is the norm for the citizens of Burin as the illegal settlers attacked they were accompanied by Israeli Army who fired a barrage of tear gas and stun grenades at villagers who bravely tried to defend against the terrorists.

Burin is surrounded by the illegal settlements of Yitzhar and Bracha, home to some of the most extreme Jewish terrorists. They regularly attack villagers, Palestinian property and burn precious village olive trees. SFP supports the village of Burin in their resistance against this terrorism. A Palestinian Red Crescent volunteer shares with us a small glimpse of the everyday harassment Palestinians suffer. It is perhaps not an example that will be deemed newsworthy, but shows the endemic racism Palestinians suffer everyday. Far from being isolated acts of criminality, as Apartheid Israel likes to portray, Palestinians endure a degrading, dehumanizations at the hands of Apartheid Israel and it’s illegal settlers. Here is one story:

Something happened to me today and I wanted to share it with you as it really bothered me. I was going to Nablus with my father. We got out of the taxi at Za’tara checkpoint. I crossed the road to pass through the checkpoint and was walking normally. Some settlers were standing where we were walking last. It was myself, my father and another man.

One of the settlers started to talk to me in Hebrew. His voice sounded angry. I said “OK” and just ignored her. Then she followed me and stopped me as I was walking. Other settlers then came and surrounded me and started shouting at me because they didn’t want me to pass in front of them.

My father was scared for me and grabbed my hand and dragged me, telling me to “just ignore them”, and we crossed the road from the other side.

I couldn’t ignore them but also I couldn’t fight and tell them this is our land not yours. I felt helpless. I was so frustrated. Someone had come and told you, you’re not allowed to pass from here, this is mine.  But this is my land not there’s.
