5. Shaker (refugee from Balata camp):

I am living in the camp and the reason I live in the camp is because the Occupation raped my land and the land of my ancestors,  seizing the land of the Canaanite with its Eastern features.  Because I always dream of returning I called my daughter after the name of the city that we were forced from. And her name is beautiful Jaffa. The ruthless Occupation has raped everything around me. Have mercy upon us dear world .. stand with us against Zionism, and boycott the Occupation.

27/02/14: Muatazz Washaha, 24 years old, murdered by the Israeli Army

On Thursday morning the Israeli Army invaded Birzeit, a neighbourhood of Ramallah, and murdered 24 year old Muatazz Washaha in his home. The Army fired live ammunition and shelled his home for several hours, where Muatazz had taken shelter. He was murdered by live ammunition aimed at his head, in an execution style.

The Army allege Muatazz was wanted, however wanted for what is unknown and does not explain the extreme force used against him as he sought shelter from the bombardment in what ought to be a place of safety for us all, our homes. In an act of steadfastness and bravery Muatazz said:

I will not surrender to those bastards.

No shot were ever fired towards the soldiers. His murder is another act of extreme terrorism by Israel. The Army destroyed the house, bombarding it with shells.

SFP send their sincere condolences to his family at this tragic time. Several SFP members attended the hospital and home to directly express our sadness. In honour of Muatazz and all the martyrs of Palestine and freedom fighters around the world, we ask the world to end the impunity against Israel’s terrorism and join the campaign for Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS). 4. Shamekh from Nablus (and now in the diaspora):

Im a son of Palestine. I belong to it. I adore it’s heritage, it’s soil and it’s olive trees, which are great and fruitful. Suddenly the Israeli occupation came and stole our land and burned our trees, for this boycott…. Boycott the Israeli occupation! it’s racism and it’s products. Boycott Zionism and Israel.

27/02/14: Israeli Army invade Burin and detain a child and arrest a young man

At around 20:00 on Wednesday evening the Israeli Army invaded Burin, just south of Nablus, terrifying residents. The Army ransacked several homes and detained the 15 year old child Saddam Rustam Tirawi for 3 hours and kidnapped 21 year old Mohammed Mashour Najjar, after beating him.

The Army invaded under the pretext of searching for youths which had defended their school against an attack and attempted invasion by the Army last week (see our two reports here and here). They terrorised the residents and children entering homes and firing sound bombs to scare.

Burin, which is surrounded by the illegal settlements of Yitzhar and Bracha, is subjected to daily Army and settler terrorism. Last year alone Burin lost over 1,400 olive trees to settler attacks and nearly 500 almond trees.

Mohammed’s arrest brings the total to 15 villagers currently being held in Apartheid Israeli prisons. Many of those prisons are supplied by companies such as the UK/ Dutch company G4S. We ask our international friends and supporters to join the grassroots Palestinian movement requesting boycott, divestment and sanctions (BDS) of Apartheid Israel. This is a tangible way you can help make a difference, in the face of international Government’s complicity in Apartheid Israel’s war crimes, and make it clear that Apartheid is not acceptable. For more details of how you can boycott and how to get involved in the campaign please click here.

3a. Sireen from Tubas (and a female ex-prisoner):

For the prisoners who sacrificed their freedom to defend the dignity and freedom of our people; our land which the Zionist occupation has stolen for its trade; and for the subjugation of Palestinians … Boycott the racist Zionist occupation, don’t support their products and encourage them to overpower and imprison more Palestinians. Don’t tempt more Zionist to come and invest in our land.
3b. Maher from Nablus (and ex-prisoner):

I’m Palestinian and I got out of prison recently. The Occupation stole 4 years of my life, because of that I demand my freedom like any other person in the world. International law says we have the right to return, but the Occupation denies us this right. Because of that boycott the racist Occupation/ Boycott Israel.

2. Badia from Hebron

After the massacre at the Ibrahimi mosque, committed by a settler in Hebron, Israel punished the victims by shutting down over 1800 shops in the Martyrs Street, the longest, most vibrant street in the city. Controlling the culture and history of Hebron by controlling its old city… Boycott Israel, don’t support its occupation.

  1. Wael from Nablus:

When my children ask me about the sea, Jerusalem, the long waits at checkpoints, the prisoners, about living like regular children, and about the things they see on television, I just stand there not knowing what to say, I can only say this is Apartheid … for our children, for freedom and justice I tell all my friends everywhere: boycott apartheid, boycott Israel.

22/02/14: SFP plant olive trees in Jeet and settlers attack

On Saturday morning activists from SFP joined the village of Jeet, in Qalqliya, in planting olive trees in an act of steadfastness. The activists planted several areas of land before proceeding to land stolen by the illegal settlement of Gilad. The activists successfully planted 15 olive trees inside the illegal settlement on Jeet land.

They were then spotted by a group of extremists settlers who ran towards then accompanied by several cars. The activists were able to return to the village, but the terrorist settlers then attacked the village, burning a car and attacking houses on the edge of the village.

In no more provocation than farmers wishing to plant their land, the settlers committed acts of terrorism. SFP calls on all people of good conscience around the world to abide by the Palestinian request for a boycott, divestment and sanctions (BDS) of Apartheid Israel, to hold it to account for its war crimes, in the absence of action by international governments. Villagers like Jeet are bravely struggling for their freedom. We ask you to support them in their struggle. To find out how to boycott and join the campaign please click here.
